Emily and LJ Keston
Our founders
In 2015, 20 year old sisters Emily and LJ Keston founded Stagebox in Leeds with a mission to bring access to industry opportunities to young people- regardless of background, location, or experience. The programme began as an outreach initiative in Leeds but soon gathered momentum with centres following in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh in tandem with a worldwide online platform.
In 2019, Emily and LJ were approached by West End producers to cast and general manage 300+ children a season having been noticed for their regional scouting & expertise in the sector. They fast became go-to experts as children’s casting directors and general managers at Keston & Keston building an impressive portfolio of credits now including Disney’s The Greatest Showman stage adaptation, The Lion King, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Oliver!, 13 Going on 30, Nativity!, NBC Live’s The Grinch, and various high-profile projects for Marvel and Netflix.
In 2025, they continue their work as children’s casting directors and general managers independently and remain proud founders committed to excellence and accessibility in the arts.
